"Youngsters squirmed excitedly in their seats, parents hurt their hand applauding. So warm is the rapport between dancers and audience it is a tangible souvenir."

allet San Joaquin

Artistic and technical brilliance have highlighted the 44 year growth of Ballet San Joaquin since its debut in 1967 as The San Joaquin Concert Ballet. Over the years the company has had many names and practiced in many homes. Most patrons will recall the days when the company took up residence in the old Stockton High School and renamed it the Commodore Stockton Theatre.

Dor
othy Percival, artistic director and company founder, now conducts classes and keeps the company on it's toes at her own studio in her Stockton home.

Regardless of its name or location, the company has maintained its commitment to offer audiences the best of ballet, feature the finest local and guest artists, and provide young dancers with the opportunity to train and perform.
